Our Mission
At Bryant Avenue Baptist Church we gather to worship and serve our great God. We believe in the total authority of the Word of God on all issues of life. Our goal is to become more like Him as we encourage each other and pray for each other. We welcome you to come visit and worship with us.
Scripture
We believe all Scripture is the divinely inspired Word of God
The Trinity
Our God eternally exists in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit
Salvation
Christ died as a substitutionary sacrifice, applied upon personal belief in Jesus
Community
We gather to worship, encourage each other, and become more like Christ
What We Believe
All Scripture is divinely inspired by God. II Peter 1:21
Jesus Christ is God and man, the virgin-born Son of God. Matthew 1:20-23
Christ died a substitutionary sacrifice for man's sin which is applied to each individual upon personal belief in Jesus. John 3:16
The crucified and buried body of Jesus was resurrected to life, ascended into Heaven and intercedes for man. Matthew 28:4; I Timothy 2:5
Every man is created in the image of God, has sinned so is separated from God, and has need of repenting to God. Genesis 2:16,17; Romans 5:12; Acts 11:17,18
All will stand before the God of eternity and be held accountable. John 5:28,29
Our History
Bryant Avenue Baptist Church began as Highland Park Baptist Church in the Highland neighborhood of Saint Paul in 1941. In 1975, the congregation moved to its current location in Southwest Minneapolis. For over eight decades, we have been a beacon of faith in our community, committed to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and meeting the spiritual needs of our neighbors.
As an Independent, Fundamental Baptist Church, we hold fast to the timeless truths of Scripture while remaining relevant and accessible to those seeking answers to life's biggest questions.
Through changing times and seasons, our mission has remained constant: to worship God, grow in faith, and serve our community with Christ's love. We're honored to continue this legacy and invite you to be part of our story.
